Lærdal

In our modern, newly renovated exhibition you can follow the salmon through its growth in the river, its migration to the open ocean, back into the fjord and up the feeder river until it meets the waterfall where it goes no further. What does it encounter on its way? What has the salmon meant to us? How is it doing? How do humans affect its life, past and present? What does the future look like?

We use film, sound, large projections and images. For those who want more information, we have interactive screens. There are quizzes and challenges for young and old. You can do it all in 20 minutes or spend the whole day.
