Sea trout

The trout comes in many varieties and is our most common freshwater fish. Trout start life in freshwater. While some go to the sea to eat themselves big, others live their entire lives in streams, rivers or lakes.

Those that go on a feeding migration to the sea are called sea trout. They do not migrate as far as salmon.
