This summer, many young and old have visited the Namsblanken and the river mussel in Namsskogan Family Park. Now the summer is coming to an end, and we've been to the culture mart in Namsos and talked about wild salmon.

Namsblanken in Namsskogan family park

During the pandemic, Norwegians have discovered Norway as a holiday destination. Namsskogan Family Park was well visited this summer, which meant that this year extra people got to meet the Namsblanken. For the second year in a row, the National Wildlife Center exhibited live Namsblank and river mussels in the park. Mussels filter water, and one mussel alone can purify as much as 50 liters a day. The Namsblank wants clean water, so this proved to be a great partnership. Visiting hosts ensured that visitors received good information about both the Namsblanken and the river mussel.

Villaksstand at the cultural mart in Namsos

Nasjonalt villakssenter has also been at kulturmartnan in Namsos. At the stand, the adults talked about villak and the younger visitors were given various tasks and activities. The bad weather on the first day made us a little depressed, but on Saturday there was more life. Many people stopped by, and both young and old appreciated the "lucky lure" they received. It guarantees fish happiness for those who are patient!

Autumn is approaching and we are looking forward to meeting students at the stream. We're keeping our fingers crossed for good conditions and that the streams don't get too big!
